The objectives of the Roundtable are to examine the state-of-the play and current challenges in relation to the biodiversity-poverty nexus and to take this opportunity to discuss and build support for a draft initiative of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) on “Biodiversity for Poverty Eradication and Development”, and to enhance collaboration and partnership between participants and other related initiatives.
Participants will include representatives of the European Commission, EU Member states, other members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), UN agencies, international finance institutions, and other key partners.
