UN Summit of the Future | 20-23 September

The "Summit of the Future", proposed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, serves as a platform to address critical issues of peace and security, offering a roadmap for a "New Agenda for Peace" that prioritises peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and strategic risk reduction. By fostering dialogue on topics such as nuclear weapons, cyber warfare, and outer space governance, the summit seeks to reinvigorate global action and reaffirm the fundamental principles of multilateralism. 

With the release of 11 policy briefs outlining concrete ideas to advance Our Common Agenda, the Summit aims to accelerate efforts to fulfil existing international commitments while responding to emerging challenges and opportunities. Through an action-oriented outcome document known as the Pact for the Future, countries will negotiate and endorse actionable strategies to build a more resilient and sustainable world for both present and future generations.
