The EU has developed and formalised guidance tools and documents for evaluating its external assistance in which priority is given to results and impacts. This page presents the methodological guidelines designed to facilitate the move towards an evaluation practice focused on programmes and strategies in EC development cooperation.

Evaluation library

In this page, you will find examples of evaluation products, from the EC and other international actors. These examples should not be used as demonstrated best practice or be replicated as such but instead can be used as concrete examples to understand what has been done, in the EC and elsewhere.

Evaluation reports are the epitome of evaluations exercises, summarising key findings, conclusions and recommendations. Publishing information on evaluations aligns with the principles of transparency and accountability. It allows to share, use and learn from evaluation findings with other organisations and the broader public.

You will find here examples of innovative ways to communicate your evaluation results, including infographics, briefs, videos, blogs and podcasts, among others.
