National Policy Dialogue in Moldova on Integrated Water Resources Management

Moldova is a small (33,800 km2) landlocked country with 3,589,300 inhabitants (1 January 2006); 41.4% in urban and 58.6% in rural areas. Moldova shares its water resources with Romania and Ukraine. The surface water resources amount to 11-12 km3/year from which 90% are formed abroad.
