European Union supporting future Korean Youth Climate Ambassadors in run-up to COP29

- On 1 July 2024, the Korean National Assembly Forum on Climate Change launched the 14th University Student Climate Academy.
- Outstanding students from this academy will have the opportunity to attend COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11 to 22 November 2024, as youth ambassadors.
- The European Union is proudly supporting this important initiative, which is organized in the framework of the EU-RoK Green Partnership.
- H.E. Maria Castillo Fernandez, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Jeoung Ae Han, and H.E. Hee-yong Jung, Members of the National Assembly and Co-chairs of the National Assembly Forum on Climate Change, congratulated the competitively selected students and reaffirmed the crucial role of youth in combatting climate change.
