GAP III Brief n.1 | Gender Country Profile and Gender sector analysis

Gender equality is a core value and a political priority for the EU across all areas. A gender analysis is a key element to guide EU support to the promotion of gender equality in EU external actions. It provides the necessary data and information to integrate a gender pespective into policies, programmes and projects. This brief aims to provide a clear understanding of the concepts, process and benefits of a gender analysis at country and at sector level (gender country profile and gender sector analysis). It is addressed to the political and operational staff in EU Delegations1 and staff in headquarters.
