NEW Video summarising accomplished results in EU-funded "Rural Village Water Resources Management Project"
Video: RVWRMP Impact in Marma, Darchula (Video filmed and edited by Erik Salminen, RVWRMP Field Specialist).
A freshly produced video demonstrates the whole-of-community impact of an integrated water management approach implemented through the “Rural Village Water Resources Management Project” in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces of Western Nepal. Funded by the Government of Nepal, the EU, and the Government of Finland, the project’s goal is to work with locals and municipal governments to achieve 100% access to safe drinking water supply and basic sanitation. It also seeks to increase agricultural production and improve nutrition outcomes for the local population by providing home gardening, improving income generation assistance and by developing local cooperatives. All of the accomplishments presented in the video have been achieved towards the end of the third phase of the project, which is scheduled to finish in 2022.
