Outline of Training on Employment
The EC Communication “Increasing the impact of EU Development policy: an agenda for change” acknowledges the need for increased focus on decent work -covering job creation, guarantee of rights at work, social protection and social dialogue-, employability and skills development in EU external cooperation in order to achieve sustainable and inclusive growth, defined as people's ability to participate in, and benefit from, wealth and job creation. These areas figure among the focal sectors for the next programming period in a number of countries, and constitute political priorities for several partner governments and international development partners.
In this context, DEVCO B3 DEVCO B3 – Employment, Social Inclusion and Migration- is organising two consecutive trainings on the areas of:
- Employment in EU development cooperation that will be held from 16 a.m. to 18 p.m. 2014 in DEVCO premises, Brussels.
- Vocational Education and Training that will be held from 18 p.m. to 20 June p.m. 2014 in DEVCO premises, Brussels.
The two courses are independent with a common half a day in which an introduction to VET will be made (18 p.m.). However, given the complementarity of the two areas we encourage participation on both courses.
The training is addressed to staff working in development cooperation in EU Delegations
