SOCIEUX Final Report 2013-2016 Redacted version
About this report
The present report provides an overview and discussion on the overall implementation of the Facility from April 2013 to December 2016. It covers the overall and quantified results of SOCIEUX, but also includes detailed information on actions completed in each country. Tables calculations have been rounded for presentation in this report.
SOCIEUX - Social Protection EU Expertise in Development Cooperation – the EU-funded technical facility on social protection, provided over 1,700 days of expertise through 37 actions in 23 countries worldwide over a three-year period. Beyond, these figures lie tangible results from the institutional, to organisational and individual capacity building. Experts mobilised by SOCIEUX supported development of policies, institutional diagnosis, information management systems reviews and individual training measures, and more.
To achieve these results and address to the needs of its partners, SOCIEUX had to build a responsive, flexible and adaptive structure that is now synonymous with the SOCIEUX quality brand. Throughout this process valuable lessons were learned that provided the foundations of an enriched SOCIEUX+ facility.
At the end its first phase, SOCIEUX had mobilised 73 social protection experts of 23 nationalities from EU and Partner Countries. Identifying, making available and mobilising high-level expertise from public institutions has however be one of the major challenges for the Facility.
