State Budget Workshop for Jonglei State

The State Budget Workshop in Jonglei state was supported by the EU TAPP Project for 2 days; September 30th- 1st October, 2015. The workshop was opened by Mr. Tuong Majok Den,.Ag. State Minister of Finance and closed by Peter Wal Thiew State Minister of Local Government.

The workshop was intended to communicate national policy on planning and budgeting for state and counties, share information on national public finance reforms, present state budget performance in the FY 2014/15, as well as sector and county budget ceilings for FY 2015-16 to the key stakeholders of Jonglei State.

The occasion was also used to discuss budget execution and reporting issues to spending agencies, as well as laying strategies for improving performance in Public Finance Management.
