State of the Field in Youth-Led Development through the Lense of the Urban Youth Fund

This report seeks to expand the knowledge on youth-led development and agencies through investigating the functioning, needs, assets, and outcomes of youth-led development initiatives funded by UN-Habitat’s Urban Youth Fund. The report is an “engaged” research effort, in that it is not a hands-off, uninvolved approach to social inquiry; rather, UN-Habitat is deeply involved in supporting the health and well-being of urban communities, and in this instance, equally involved in supporting the role of young people as community assets and agents of positive change.
