TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON THE ASSESSMENT OF THE EXISTING CYBERCRIME LAWS / ACTS IN CARIBBEAN COUNTRIES

As cyber threats continue to evolve, the Caribbean needs a harmonized legal framework to strengthen the fight against cybercrime. This study examines and compares cybercrime legislation across Caribbean countries, identifies legal gaps, and assesses alignment with international standards, including the Budapest Convention and the UN Convention against Cybercrime. 📚⚖️

Key areas include online child protection, grooming, non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and other emerging cyber offenses. The findings provide practical recommendations and core principles for a future Model Cybercrime Law that will enhance regional cooperation, support law enforcement, and create a safer, more resilient digital environment for citizens and businesses. 🤝💻🛡️
