Tool on policy design- illustrating simplified components

The tool is a template showing key components of policy frameworks. This is highly simplified but does summarise the key components of a policy framework:

1. A statement of what the organisation seeks to achieve
2. Underpinning principles, values and philosophies
3. Broad service objectives which explain the areas in which the organisation will be dealing
4. Strategies to achieve each objective
5. Specific actions to be taken
6. Desired outcomes of specific actions
7. Performance indicators
8. Management plans and day to day operational rules covering all aspects of services delivery
9. Program review/evaluation
