Though glaciers are melting around the world, in the tropical Andes the nexus of melting glaciers, dwindling water resources, climate change and a dense population meet, creating an urgent need for awareness and management. This bulletin focuses on the impacts of this reported accelerated loss of tropical glaciers to water supplies in Peru as well as broader impacts to the hydrologic cycle, future water supplies and ecosystem status.
