Anastasia Vlasenko serves as the Director of European Programs for the Ukrainian Recovery Youth Global Initiative (URYGI), where she is committed to empowering the next generation of Ukrainian leaders and facilitating post-war recovery efforts. As a Young European Ambassador, she represents Ukraine on various international platforms, advocating for crucial issues such as refugee integration, youth leadership, and peacebuilding.
Originally from Kherson, Ukraine, Anastasia's life was irrevocably altered by the war, which forced her to seek refuge in the Czech Republic after her home was destroyed by a missile strike. Drawing on her own experiences of loss and displacement, she has dedicated her career to supporting fellow refugees and fostering community resilience.
Anastasia has successfully organized over 20 Erasmus+ projects across Europe, where she has cultivated vital skills in leadership, diplomacy, and conflict resolution among youth participants. Her work has garnered international recognition, and she has been invited to speak at high-profile events, including the Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy, where she addressed the urgent plight of children forcibly removed from Ukraine.
With a strong belief in the transformative power of education, Anastasia is focused on strengthening democratic institutions, protecting human rights, and promoting Ukraine’s integration into the global community. Her commitment to these causes is evident in her active involvement with NGOs and partnerships with institutions such as the European Parliament, aimed at advancing social justice and humanitarian support.
