Iriso Boma Victor is a Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Port Harcourt and a Registered Animal Scientist (RAS). Mr Iriso holds a Bachelor of Agriculture degree (Animal Science) from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and a Master’s degree in Animal Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria, majoring in ruminant nutrition and production with special interest in climate change, improving forage quality and conservation, evaluating the impact of forage attributes on the performance of ruminants and safety of animal products. Iriso’s academic honours and awards include receiving the prestigious Climate Food and Farming Global Research Alliance Scholarship (CLIFF-GRADS) Grant in 2020, University of Port Harcourt Graduate Studies Scholarship Award in 2019 and NNPC/Belemaoil JV Post Graduate Scholarship Award in 2019. Iriso is an African Climate Ambassador and member: Animal Science Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). Iriso has published several journal articles, conference papers, and has attended different national and international agricultural seminars and workshops.
