
Miles is the Founding Executive Director of the Africa Centre for Rural Economy (ACRE), currently lives on an A1 farm near Chivhu, 140 kms south of Harare, Zimbabwe's capital city. ACRE is a social enterprise for the rural economy that connects innovative policy analysis, solutions, and stakeholder action towards the goal of inclusive and sustainable rural economic transformation in Africa. His career has spanned continents and a breadth of disciplines - from media to pharmaceuticals, from finance to agriculture - earning him a unique fluency and versatility in engaging with national and global international players, and building partnerships. A creative thinker and perfectionist at heart, Miles approaches development as the nexus between culture, insights, and pragmatic action.
Miles pioneered and developed the first information platform exclusively serving the African pharmaceutical market, with the mission to provide a platform to contribute to, and enable, the growth of a quality African pharmaceutical industry competitively contributing to the healthcare needs of Africans, recognized in the global pharma arena for quality and innovation. He has successfully organised international events in London, United Kingdom; Hammamet, Tunisia; Accra, Ghana; Nairobi, Kenya; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; and Lagos, Nigeria.
