Roseline Muchai is a Monitoring and Evaluation consultant and holds a Masters of Arts degree in Project Planning and Management, certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation from USAID Global Health Center and AMREF International Training Center, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Business Management. She is currently undertaking a Master of Science (Msc.) degree in Public Health and Social Justice. Roseline is an independent M&E consultant working on various client portfolios that include Project Expedite Justice (PEJ), and through PwC clients such as Global Fund, Gavi, the UN agencies amongst others.
As an M&E coordinator and adviser, Roseline has assisted clients in developing evaluation strategies and annual work plans for various projects. Examples include leading the baseline and end term evaluations of MediCapt application use in sexual violence forensic documentation in Kenya and DRC, being the country evaluation lead for UNTF and Comic Relief projects by Physicians for Human Rights, developing terms of reference and executing assessments on behalf of Global Fund in Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Rwanda.
Roseline has provided quality assurance of evaluation processes for clients that include the Physicians for Human Rights MediCapt DRC project, Comic Relief project on mental healthcare project in Kenya and for the UNTF COVID 19 response project. In these projects, Roseline ensured sound methodologies for data collection, use of statistical analysis of data collected that enhanced timeliness and credibility of the evaluations. As a result, the MediCapt project was published in PLos One journal as "Evaluating the effectiveness of a mobile application to improve the quality, collection, and usability of forensic documentation of sexual violence'. Roseline also provides regular quality assurance of Global Fund deliverables by the Ministry of Health Kenya, Amref Health Africa and Kenya Red Cross Society, a leading humanitarian organization sustainably promoting the well-being, health and resilience of communities in Kenya.
Roseline, through her engagement with the Evaluation Society of Kenya is an advocate of use of evaluation practices for informed decision making in all projects she has been involved in. All evaluations are considerate of the evaluation criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, sustainability, cohesion and impact. Roseline is a champion in using lessons learnts and best practices approach from project to project.
