Mr. Adimado is a multi-talented and highly motivated agricultural development professional with over 23 years of experience in; Agribusiness design and advisory, agricultural project designs, sustainability protocols, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation strategies and has the advantage of combining excellent technical skills in the field of agriculture technologies, legal frameworks and policy directions, with sound practical experience in agribusiness, project designs, implementation and management. Undertaken several assignments both locally and internationally, providing leadership and technical inputs for policy development and implementation of sustainable agricultural interventions suitable for the economically disadvantaged. Possess in-depth, hands-on experience in transforming NGOs, Agricultural Businesses and Sustainable Organizations.
Mr. Adimado is the President of the Licensed Cocoa Buyers Association of Ghana (LICOBAG) and the Vice President of the Coffee Federation of Ghana (CFG).
Mr. Adimado is currently working at Niche Cocoa Sourcing Limited (NCS) as Managing Director. He is responsible for the setting up and designing of a modern LBC embracing holistic electronic payment system and driving home massive impact that would transform the living status of a cocoa farmer. Mr. Adimado at Kuapa Kokoo Limited as the Managing Director, was responsible for strategic direction and marketing growth for the company, thereby securing its financial profitability an innovation in the Ghanaian cocoa sector.
Mr. Adimado at Fairtrade International, facilitated design, redesign and development of Cocoa Cooperatives Business from zero to 9- Cooperatives Unions and 390 Cooperative Societies in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia with annual premium revenue of $12 million. In addition agricultural input schemes with reputable input dealers were designed to the tune of $5 million. Mr. Adimado was very instrumental in coordinating state institutions in various countries to partner in the strengthening of Cooperative Businesses such as the Department of Cooperatives of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana, Ministries of Agriculture of Sierra Leone and Liberia and the Cocoa Health and Extension Division of the Ghana Cocoa Board. Mr. Adimado also initiated a massive 5- product certification scheme (Sesame, Cocoa, Groundnut, Pineapple and Cashew) export design with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and B&B Consultancy of Nigeria under the auspices of the then CEO of Fairtrade International Mr. Rob Cameroon. While with Agro Eco Louis Bolk Institute Mr. Adimado, facilitated development of supply chain and capacity building development of Mango, Cashew, Pineapple smallholder farmers and Shea nut collectors to processing companies and exporters in Ghana. He was a team leader under FAO consultancy in the capacity building of organic sugar loaf and organic mango farmers who supplied fresh fruits for WAD African Fruits for processing into dried fruits chips and other snack forms for the Swiss market. He also assisted in the development of business plans for the mango and pineapple cooperatives that supplied WAD African Fruits. Mr. Adimado was also the team leader in the capacity building for Shea nut women collectors and improved shea butter processing in the Wechau Community Resource Management Area (CREMA) in the Upper West Region of Ghana, the women's activities were successfully linked to Savanna Fruits Company for export to the USA and Europe, with annual turnover of $1 million. Mr. Adimado was also instrumental as a team leader in the design of Organic School Garden project, which linked the Ghana School Feeding Program to the rural agricultural economics of Ghana. Mr. Adimado also lead a team in the design of cocoa export project’s with Ecosystem services for IUCN in Togo. At West Africa Fair Fruits Project (WAFF now SOLIDARIDAD), Mr. Adimado was very instrumental in the capacity building of Organic-Fairtrade mango farmers in Burkina Faso and Organic-Fairtrade pineapple farmers in Ghana, Mr. Adimado was also instrumental in the design of Cold-Chain transportation systems from Burkina Faso through Tema port to the Netherlands for AgroFair a fresh fruit company with an annual turn over of €40 million. Mr. Adimado was also instrumental in using DNA fingerprints to determine True-To-Type Planting materials in the pineapple industry of Ghana. At Organic Commodities Product (OCP), Mr. Adimado was very instrumental as a Project Officer in the design and implementation of the first certified organic cocoa project in West Africa, the purpose was for the manufacturing of specialty chocolate in the USA. At Ghana Organic Agriculture Network (GOAN) Mr. Adimado was instrumental in the pioneering of the establishment of multi-million dollar estates such as Integrated Tamale Fruits Company (ITFC), Tamale, Organic Mango Outgrowers Association (OMOA), Tamale. Mr. Adimado was also instrumental in the sourcing plan of certified pineapples and citrus for Athena Food ( a fruit processing company, Tema). Mr. Adimado was also instrumental in the setting up of Vegetable Cooperatives Businesses in many parts of Ghana that supplied the local conventional markets, the hospitality industries and the export markets. Mr. Adimado was also instrumental in the development of multiple certified cocoa producer groups and Cooperatives, he was also the contact person representative of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM). At TechnoServe, Mr. Adimado was instrumental in the setting up of Inventory credit schemes for various crop enterprises and used pair-wise ranking for the advice of various export commodities such as Cashew, Cola Nut and Palm Oil.
Mr. Adimado holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Agricultural Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Technology from the University For Development Studies, Tamale Ghana, Mr. Adimado has excellent proficiency in written English and Twi as a Ghanaian Language, minor in French Language. Mr. Adimado is an excellent interpersonal and team-building person.
