Empowering Cities: CFF’s next Call for Applications Now Open

The C40 Cities Finance Facility (CFF) has officially launched its latest Call for City Applications! The news was shared by Rio de Janeiro’s Mayor, Eduardo Paes, during the Urban 20 Summit on November 16, 2024. The announcement took place during a session on Financing Multi-Level Climate Action, where mayors and representatives from Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) convened to address the critical challenge of closing the urban climate finance gap. 

The CFF provides essential support to cities in the Global South, helping transform ambitious climate plans into finance-ready, resilient urban projects. Our assistance includes technical expertise, capacity building, and tailored guidance across four key focus areas: 

🌱 Nature-based solutions 
💡 Energy and buildings 
🚶 Urban mobility 
💧 Water and waste management 

The CFF application portal is now open until Q2 2025.
