SOCIEUX+ launches e-course “How to Design Equitable Social Health Protection in Health?"

SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment has launched the e-course “How to Design Equitable Social Protection in Health?”. This new training is an advocacy tool designed to empower current and future policymakers from Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as all those interested in promoting universal social health protection.
The aim of the course is to provide essential knowledge, tools, an equity mindset and communication skills to support decisive and inclusive policy action. Participants will explore equity-focused approaches, the creation of a common vision and legislative framework, fair financing of health care, equitable (non-financial) access to services, institutional reforms and key indicators to guide policy design.
The course is freely accessible in English, French and Portuguese on the SOCIEUX+ online platform, and takes approximately 5 hours to complete.

About SOCIEUX+
SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment is a facility for technical cooperation established and co-funded by the European Union (EU). The general objective is to expand and improve access to better employment opportunities and inclusive social protection systems.
Based on a peer-to-peer exchange model, SOCIEUX+ delivers short-term technical cooperation activities that enhance the capacity of partner institutions to design, manage, and monitor inclusive, effective, and sustainable employment strategies and social protection systems. It mobilises European public expertise to work directly with their peers outside the EU and it is available in more than 160 eligible countries and territories worldwide.
The initiative is implemented by a partnership comprising Expertise France (the partnership lead), France Travail, the Belgian Federal Public Service for Social Security through the Belgian International Cooperation for Social Protection (BELINCOSOC), the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel), and the Fundación para la Internacionalización de las Administraciones Públicas (FIAP) of Spain.
