Since May 2014, various development cooperation organizations Launch Campaign For Glass Of Water, which aims to promote the participation of the population to publicize the importance of access to natural resources (with special emphasis on water) and publicize the difficulties that the lack of water causes women daily, essential agents in the management of the resource.

Under the slogan "For the period of awakening and the time to act, by a Glass of Water" campaign integrates the story of a girl which daily have to cross a river to get water and cover the basic needs of their family. This girl’s only possession is a tree which aims to irrigate with the last glass of water that is the one left of every day, but, going to irrigate the tree the last glass of water drop ...

From this story is influenced that the entire population for this take a tour with a glass of water to take to the child and thus raise massively thousands of people around the world to recognize the situation faced by neediest families and especially women.

Considering the importance of this campaign, cooperation agencies and the European Commission have also joined this initiative through the project "Cooperation in local public policies between Europe and Central America for better governance and integrated management of water resources" the which is implemented in countries such as Nicaragua and Honduras in Central America and the Netherlands, Spain (Countries Vascos) and Italy.

As part of this campaign, we have obtained results as:

1.- Uploaded over 160 videos from over 20 different countries with higher reproductions 10,000 views

4.- The success of the campaign For a Glass of Water has transcended to the point of being presented at the official website of the United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction UNISDR that develops in Sendai, Japan. # FaGoW is shown in the section of Knowledge and Education as an example of a campaign that has been successful in implementing the Hyogo Framework for Action. http://www.wcdrr.org/celebrating
