3. Preparedness and Post-Disaster recovery
Preparedness saves lives, and recovery shapes long-term resilience. It is why the DRRP works during the whole life cycle of a disaster. From strengthening contingency planning, building early warning systems and community-based awareness, to recovery by conducting Post-Disaster Needs Assessments after the disaster hits and informing recovery plans.
