Overview

Description

What can NZ learn from the EU, what can the EU learn from New Zealand, and what can we do together?

Welcome to Policy Futures: EU-Aotearoa New Zealand, brought to you by the Delegation of the European Union to Aotearoa New Zealand!

Aotearoa New Zealand and the European Union are like-minded partners with shared values and interests. In an increasingly challenging world, this drives us to seek new and stronger ways to collaborate. The EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, and New Zealand’s association to the Horizon Europe research programme bring immediate benefits to New Zealand and pave the way for further and deeper relations.

Running from April 2023 to November 2024, the EU Delegation to New Zealand’s Policy Futures: EU-Aotearoa New Zealand initiative has been widening and deepening policy dialogue on issues of mutual relevance. Here, you will find the results of seminars which brought together leading figures in the EU with the private sector, researchers, practitioners and decision-makers in NZ to discuss topics such as trade, research and a rules based international order, and newsletters curating EU policy news relevant for a NZ audience.
