The European Union (EU) supported project 'SHARE' (Strengthening Health, Applying Research Evidence) is being implemented by icddr,b, renowned international health research organization (www.icddrb.org) in collaboration with University College, London (UCL), UK and Palladium Group, India; and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Bangladesh. Original protocol of the project is “Strengthening capacities of national health authorities and icddr,b for better health policies and strategies for improved outcomes”.
The overall objective of the SHARE project is to strengthen the capacity of public health institutes in Bangladesh to engage with key decision makers to promote evidence-informed policy-cycles as well as to strengthen the capacity of policy influencers and policy implementers to access, analyze and appropriately use high quality evidence in health policy and practice. The project is expected to enhance capacity at individual, organizational and national levels.
