Joint Programming under exploration
The EU Joint Programing Document for Honduras was formally endorsed in the last quarter of 2019. It covered the period 2019-2022 and was aligned with the national strategic development plan (Plan de Nación 2010-2022). Joint Programming in Honduras involved three EU Member States (Germany, France and Spain), Switzerland, and the EU Institutions.
The JPD focused on 4 priorities:
It also contemplated horizontal aspects as human rights, gender equality and dialogue with non-state actors. The document was aligned to the country’s strategy, and it used as a framework for its engagement with the partner country the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs.
A number of consultations on the Joint Programming Document took place with Government, civil society, private sector and UN. A joint results framework was agreed between the EU Delegation, EU member states (ES, FR & DE) and Switzerland. One of the pillars of the JP has been developed in the TEI on Climate Change. The new EU Programming document for 2021-2027 is aligned with JP priorities.
