• Promote a stable, democratic, and resilient SA that can function as a regional, continental and global ally. (focus on a new generation of South Africans and entrepreneurial skills, especially in the digital and green economy areas)
• Expand trade and investment in the country
• EU to promote its policy priorities and values in terms of e.g. corporate social responsibility, mainstreaming decent work standards, social and labour rights, environmental and climate change, digitalisation, support to minorities, including migrants, and people with disabilities, together with EU standards and norms 

The Team Europe Proposal activities include:

• Harness private sector actors’ contributions: Training and apprenticeship programs
• Building on existing solid and proven mutual interests
• Bridging the gap between the supply side (education and training for employment) with the demand side (private sector development in formal and non-formal labour markets)
• Foster entrepreneurial skills, including in the digital and green economy areas
