Team note
The mid-term review in 3 years of the Revitalised Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (‘R-ARCSS’) adopted in 2018 should be aligned with the end of the transitional period of RTGoNU and after the elections to be held. At such time, EU will assess if and how to adapt its programming in line with the evolving national and regional context in 2024.
In 2020/21 ‘Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity’ - RTGoNU is in the process of developing a revised national development strategy with assistance of UNDP. Depending on the outcome of the revised strategy and in particular its inclusiveness, ownership by the government and credibility, EU may assess the possibility to connect its planned development support with the country’s revised development strategy to the extent possible.
No HoMs' report submitted, reminder has been sent.
