A joint analysis of financial commitments and disbursements to Syria for 2016-2018 by the EU, EU Member States and the US was presented at a workshop to Heads of Mission on 13 November 2016. The analysis was a first step towards identifying opportunities to improve division of labour and possibly programme jointly at sector level. Tentative discussions have been started on the scope for joint programming which will be followed up on in 2017.
