As an International Trade and Business Development Consultant, I provide a wide range of consulting services, international business solutions, team coaching and practical training courses to help companies and individuals access global markets and expand their businesses. These services include export development, international trade, international market search and analysis, finding potential markets, market access plans, sales channels, leads generation, intelligent trade tools and platforms, market and trade data intelligence, process digitalization, and competitive intelligence. I have over 24 years of experience in various fields and sectors, including international trade, business development, export management, professional training and coaching, cosmetics and personal care products, veterinary medicines, dental equipment and materials, construction materials, automotive spare parts, and business solutions.

I use intelligent tools supported with artificial intelligence to discover business opportunities, find export potential markets, generate leads, and find intelligent and effective solutions for my clients. I also create and implement integrated business plans, effective marketing plans, strategic goals, and lead the sales and marketing teams. My approach combines practical action plans, intelligent tools, and advanced strategies to effectively reach targeted markets. In addition, I train and motivate individuals, entrepreneurs, and teams to achieve desired results and create sustainable added value.

I am an international consultant for several companies and organizations in Türkiye, Syria, USA, China, UK, Canada, Nigeria, Uganda, Yemen and Palestine. I am a member of the Advisory Board and Expert Council of the US Meta Arees International University (USMAU) and the American Board Agency of Training and Education, the International Trade Council (ITC), the Syrian Engineers Association in Turkey, and the Knowledge Commercialization Center (BTM) - Istanbul. I am also an international business leader in the African Business Community, Individual Project Procurement Consultant at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and a member of multiple civil society organizations that aim to rebuild Syria and contribute to economic development.

To me, business development in international trade is more than just work, responsibilities, tasks, or knowledge sharing; it is a passion and a privilege to be part of the growth journey, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Lama Abu Baker is a seasoned communications expert with over 16 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and public diplomacy across the MENA region. She has successfully led communication and visibility components for numerous EU-funded and international development projects, collaborating closely with local governments, civil society organizations, and international bodies. 

Since 2018, Lama has been a key expert in multimedia, communications, and visibility for several EU-funded projects in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq. Her current role involves managing the multimedia and communications component of the EU Regional Trust Fund’s response to the Syrian Crisis. She has successfully implemented innovative social media campaigns and overseen content production. 

Lama has led communication efforts for significant projects such as the EU-GCC Cooperation on Green Transition and Decarbonization, managing communication, including high-level events and climate diplomacy activities in the GCC region. She also led a nationwide awareness campaign on inclusive education for vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities and refugees, as part of the Inclusive Education in Jordan project with GIZ. 

In addition to project management, Lama excels in training and mentoring media and communications teams within government institutions and civil society organizations. Her leadership and capacity-building skills have enabled her to guide teams in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, media relations, and impactful PR campaigns. 

Lama has worked on projects addressing critical issues such as renewable energy, gender equality, social inclusion, women’s and youth economic empowerment, and more. Her deep understanding of EU guidelines, donor branding, and visibility standards—gained through collaborations with organizations like USAID, UN, SIDA, DFID, and GIZ—has made her a recognized leader in strategic communications across the region. 

Lama holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Birzeit University. She is fluent in Arabic and English and has basic French and Italian. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lama is known for her unwavering commitment to social causes and her ability to inspire those around her through impactful storytelling. 

I joined the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU in September 2023. I am dealing mostly with EU International Development and Cooperation issues as a designated delegate at relevant working parties of the Council. My main WPs are CODEV-PI, RELEX-HQ and EFTA. I am looking forward to engage with colleagues and stakeholders from the EU Institutions and all over Europe.

My previous work responsibilities covered the coordination and implementation of projects for fostering regional economic integration of the Western Balkans and cooperation within the association of Western Balkans Six Chamber Investment Forum. I have extensive experience in project planning, policy development, reporting, event organization, administrative and operational tasks.
