Alejandro is a seasoned professional in international cooperation and humanitarian response, specializing in conflict zones and displacement crises. With a background that includes a Master's in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe and advanced studies in International Cooperation, his expertise spans complex fields such as humanitarian demining, security policy, and development. 

Alejandro has contributed to diverse projects across multiple countries, including Guatemala, Mongolia, Ukraine, Poland and Denmark, With specializations in program management, strategic communication, and community-based approaches to humanitarian aid.

I am a highly accomplished and results-oriented professional with over 40 years of distinguished experience as a Principal Systems Engineer, Data Scientist, and Project Manager. I possess a proven track record of success at national, international, and NATO levels, specialising in the strategic development and execution of complex, global transformational R&D security and defence projects. My extensive technology background encompasses Security and C3 Architectures, Cloud/Big Data Architectures, and deep expertise in the NATO Security domain, including Common Criteria for ITSEC certification and Cloud (CCM of CSA) for NATO CIS accreditation. I am a recognised expert in NATO C3I Systems & Interoperability, including Interface Exchange Requirements (IERs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interoperability Validation & Verification (IV&V) and Modelling & Simulation (NATO "(ALT)BMD" Integration Test Bed). As a Senior Data Scientist, I bring advanced expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative Pre-trained AI (GPAI), their evaluation trough HELM methodologies and the design and validation of Digital Twins. I am an active member of the Emerging Technologies (AI) WG of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and have been part of the NATO ACT Data Science Group. I am also proud member of the Italian National Association of Professional Engineers since 1989. My management approach is founded on PMBook, Prince 2 principles, integrated within an ISO 9001 quality system, as well as ITIL certification, ensuring effective leadership, team building, and successful project outcomes. I excel at building consensus and fostering cooperation among diverse groups across government, industry, academia, and international organisations. A pragmatic leader, I am adept at exploiting basic research and disruptive technologies to rapidly meet military requirements, emphasising synergy between research, engineering, and end-user involvement from project inception. I consistently bring optimism, full accountability, initiative, and a charismatic, cooperative work ethic to international and multicultural environments, committed to achieving common and agreed objectives

I recently joint the EUDEL in Abuja where I will be working on the Peace and Security portfolio. I was previously deployed in Niamey as seconded personnel from the Italian MFA to the CSDP mission EUCAP Sahel Niger, where I hold the position of Senior coordination adviser.
