A Professional with 20 years hands on experience in Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning in establishing and managing of MEL systems for projects and programs in development sector within Sri Lanka and overseas. Being an excellent team player and a leader, have depicted strong track records in achieving expected deliverables on time with expected quality. Precipitous learning ability and excellent interpersonal skills drive me fast adapting for diverse working cultures. Handling MEAL functions in diverse sectors (WASH, livelihood, climate change adaptation, economic development, agriculture development, governance and in relief & rehabilitation) in both local and international context has sharpen my skills, capabilities to overcome challenges. I am serving as a evaluation mission lead to organizations of Results Oriented Monitoring (ROM) based in Brussels, and Independent Office of Evaluation FAO Roam.

Trained in Agricultural Engineering (BSc) and Global Studies - With Special Emphasis on Peace and Security in Africa (MA),

Served in various positions Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry Natural Resources Development, Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperatin and currently (since 2004); Senior Consultant: Design, Evaluation, Needs Assessment, implementation/Management, Capacity Development Support Services, in the areas of: Rural Development, Agriculture, Environment, NRM, Irrigation and Rural WASH, Food Security, Emergency Humanitarian Crisis Support Operations, Peace and Security, Conflict Ananlysis and Migration Studies.

I work towards combining agronomic and environmental assessments to provide knowledge and tools to improve practices and to design new agroecological and sustainable production systems. My key research topics encompass developing knowledge on the links between agricultural practices and environmental impact mechanisms, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission modelling and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in order to model perennial cropping systems, to reduce uncertainty in field emission accounting, and to account better for impacts on soil quality. I have gained experience in more than 10 countries including Indonesia, Burkina Faso, and Brazil.
