Hi, I’m Ivan Piseta. I am a dynamic and results-driven communications and international cooperation professional, currently serving as the Community Management Expert for Capacity4Dev. I hold a Master's Degree in International Project Management and International Economics, and I bring years of experience collaborating with the European Union, particularly through my role as Communications and Visibility Expert and Social Media Manager at the European Union Delegation in Brazil.

Since July 2024, I have been dedicated to fostering community engagement on Capacity4Dev. My responsibilities include approving new Spaces (Groups, Projects, and Resources) and promoting best practices to enhance visibility and member engagement. I am passionate about understanding how the platform can best serve your needs, helping you to promote knowledge sharing, networking, and visibility for the international cooperation activities you are involved with.

The UDTF focuses on supporting partner countries in their urban development challenges. It delivers technical assistance and policy advice to improve the quality and impact of the EU’s interventions in urban development at all levels—local, regional and global—with a focus on Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Integrated urban planning coupled with greener infrastructure and coordinated urban expansion can increase a city’s urban resilience while minimizing the negative environmental impacts of human settlement.

Nikolay Chavov is a highly experienced professional with a background in project management and business development, specializing in infrastructure and transportation projects. With over a decade of dedicated work, he has consistently demonstrated his expertise and leadership abilities. 

Nikolay currently serves as the Director of Business Development & Operations at NTU International A/S, a position he has held since August 2021. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing business development initiatives and operational activities. 

Nikolay has more than 12 years of experience in Technical Assistance projects and 10 years of experience as a Project Manager. He has implemented 12 long-term and 35 short-term contracts for EU, WB, AfDB and other IFIs in Europe, and Asia. He possesses in-depth knowledge of project cycle management, and a logical framework approach from project identification, formulation, and preparation to monitoring and evaluation. He is very experienced in the overall management of the project, e.g., ensuring timely completion of activities at the required quality level, timely delivery of services and deliverables, communication with the Client and key stakeholders, and submission of invoices and associated supporting documents.  Nikolay has considerable knowledge of EU international cooperation and external aid policies, programming cycle and supporting geographic and thematic financial instruments (IPA, ENI, EDF, DCI, GPGC, INSC, PI, EIDHR, IcSP, etc.). Additionally, he has experience in communication, capacity building, institutional & policy dialogue facilitation and awareness-raising activities.  

I have been working in the fields of PR & communication, as well as energy & new technologies, for 8 years. With proficiency in 3 languages and a global outlook, I have cultivated an international career, with a particular focus on the APAC region. Motivated by curiosity and a commitment to advancing innovative, low-carbon economies and alternative growth models.

My professional journey has spanned various organizations, including embassies, major energy corporations, and non-profit associations. From 2019 to 2023, I held the position of Secretary General at the France-Korea Energy & Environment Committee, overseeing high-level quarterly meetings aimed at fostering cooperation towards a low-carbon economy. Currently, I serve as an independent consultant, specializing in outreach activities for the EU-Korea Green Partnership project.
