We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2026–2027 edition of the Capacity4dev Ambassadors Programme. The Programme offers an opportunity for international cooperation professionals who are interested in contributing to the effectiveness of interventions worldwide. If you believe that knowledge sharing can support international partnerships and would like to connect with professionals working in similar contexts, you are invited to express your interest in becoming a Capacity4dev Ambassador.
ABOUT THE AMBASSADORS PROGRAMME
The Ambassadors Programme is a platform that brings together professionals from diverse backgrounds who share an interest in improving the quality and effectiveness of international cooperation interventions. As an Ambassador, you will act as a multiplier by sharing knowledge within your professional networks, participating in Capacity4dev initiatives, and promoting the platform to EU project implementation teams worldwide. The Programme builds on its successful first two editions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What commitment is expected by the Ambassadors?
The Ambassadors are expected to:
- join online sessions for training and networking during a 12-month period, including one induction session and three quarterly events;
- connect Capacity4dev with project teams around the world that are willing to use the platform for their projects;
- invite other international cooperation professionals to join Capacity4dev;
- contribute to the Ambassadors' Blog;
- help spread the word about Capacity4dev initiatives and content on social media and beyond;
- contribute to Capacity4dev campaigns.
The commitment level will depend on each Ambassador’s willingness to be involved in shaping and delivering Capacity4dev initiatives that will take place in 2026 and 2027. This is a voluntary initiative, so we value the time and efforts you put in parallel with the rest of your commitments.
The final list of actions for each Ambassador will be tailored to their profile (e.g. EU institutions staff, non-EU institutions staff, etc.).
What is the duration of the initiative?
Each Ambassador is expected to commit for a period of 12 months, starting from the launch of the Programme in Spring 2026.
What are the selection criteria?
Applicants should:
- Be registered users on Capacity4dev;
- Be able to reach a broader community of international cooperation professionals;
- Demonstrate initiative and an interest in increasing the impact of Capacity4dev;
- Be active on social media or other networks.
The selection process will also consider thematic coverage, regional representation, and gender balance.
I work at an EU Delegation or DG INTPA, DG MENA, DG ENEST, FPI and EEAS HQs. Is this initiative for me?
Yes, we aim to collaborate closer with colleagues from EU Delegations and the RELEX family, more broadly. Your participation in the Programme will not require an effort that will affect your workload. Your role will be mostly focused on connecting the Capacity4dev platform with project teams around the world and invite the latter to use the platform to create Project pages and other relevant Spaces.
How will communication and coordination take place?
The Capacity4dev team plans to have several communication channels in place including a group on Capacity4dev, and an e-mailing list. In addition, online coordination sessions will be planned on a quarterly basis.
Will I receive a training on how to act as an Ambassador?
Of course. The Capacity4dev team will ensure all Ambassadors are well-equipped to deliver on their role.
