Protecting and promoting human rights and democracy is a key priority of EU external action, in line with the Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy 2020-2024. Initiated and managed by DG INTPA G1, this group aims to create connections, enhance cooperation and practice-sharing among people/organisation working on human rights and democracy in external action.

InterCultural Approach Programme (InCA) - Learning & Sharing Community
The InterCultural Approach Programme (InCA) is an interdisciplinary action-research programme which was developed by DG INTPA. It aims at increasing the effectiveness and the results of the EU external policies and interventions though an intercultural sensitive partnership with countries and implementing organisations. For the moment INTPA D4 is integrating the intercultural competence into the Fundamental Training Package (FTP-ICM) to ensure that the competence will be widely shared within DG INTPA, DG NEAR and FPI staff in Headquarter and in EU Delegations.
