Euroclima, as part of the Global Gateway strategy, builds partnerships between the European Union (EU) and the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) regions to drive a green and just transition. Through bilateral dialogues and regional collaboration, the programme engages with 33 partner countries and key regional organisations to identify priorities and translate them into concrete actions, fostering long-term environmental and climate resilience. By creating the right conditions and supporting key initiatives in priority sectors, Euroclima helps establish a solid foundation for a sustainable transition. The programme also facilitates the mobilisation of climate and green financing, addressing urgent environmental challenges.

AL-INVEST Verde is the European Union–funded programme that promotes sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America. Its objective is to support the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy by facilitating the implementation of sustainable production models within the framework of the Global Gateway strategy. The programme has a total budget of EUR 40.1 million and a five-year implementation period starting in October 2021. Its structure is organised into three components, which respectively work with Latin American small businesses, public institutions in the region, and the management of intellectual property rights: Component 1 - Innovation and Green Transition for SMEs Component 2 - Technical Assistance to the Public Sector in the region to foster sustainable value chains in compliance with environmental and labour standards Component 3 - Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for Sustainable Development

The "Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Mesoamerica" (EDEM) project, co-financed by the European Union through the ADELANTE Programme, aimed to support entrepreneurs in developing and strengthening their business ideas and to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their capacity for innovation. By facilitating the transfer of successful Colombian tools and methodologies to eight Mesoamerican countries, the initiative sought to foster economic growth, reduce inequalities, and eradicate poverty in the region. Through collaborative efforts among various chambers of commerce, governmental institutions, and regional organizations, the project emphasized knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the development of supportive entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Co-funded by the European Union under the European Commission’s new Thematic Framework Partnership Agreement for Human Rights and Democracy, AGILE supports independent media in countries where media freedom is under acute attack.
