On Tuesday 17 July, a breakfast event "Knowledge Frameworks to Accelerate the 2030 Agenda" will take place in New York, linked to the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. It is organized by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) with the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UN and the Knowledge for Development Partnership. A panel discussion will focus on multi-stakeholder approaches for generating, managing, sharing and using knowledge in support of the SDGs. It will showcase: IFAD's support to global NGO Procasur's work to share and scale-up local knowledge solutions (Ariel Halpern), UNDP's support to knowledge exchange across Small Island Developing States (Arno Boersma) and World Bank's support to client-led knowledge sharing through its South-South Facility (Laurent Porte). The discussion will be moderated by Neesham Spitzberg. In addition, the Agenda Knowledge for Development will be presented by Sarah Cummings as a potential framework to guide development of national knowledge strategies.
