Nairobi.Knowledge.Week will be taking taking place from 23-27 September 2019 at the UN Office Nairobi. It comprises three events:
The 1st African Knowledge for Development Partnership Conference at UN Office Nairobi (25-26 September) will go beyond the boarders of Kenya and is a collaboration of African players in KM. The conference is focused on African knowledge strategies, reflecting the global Agenda Knowledge for Development as well as the recently published Ugandan Knowledge Agenda and other national and sectoral initiatives and experiences. The Knowledge Management Award 2019 will be given to a UN Organization as well as to an individual African thought leader for the knowledge societies. The K4DP-Conference is cost-free! The KM Essentials Training, taking place on 23-24 September, will be an opportunity to learn in a condensed and well stuctured approach how to implement and advance Knowledge Management in organizations. This training is the first module in the KM Certification Programme.
The Knowledge.Art.Brunch, taking place on the morning of the 27 September, aims to fosters the dialogue between the art and knowledge in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, also facilitating new initiatives for knowledge-based Africa.The famous Kenyan singer and songwriter Suzanne Obwiya will sing for a knowledge-based future of Africa and art works related to knowledge will be presented.
