Regional workshop on Joint Programming for Neighbourhood East and South

The workshop will be organised by the EEAS and European Commission (DG DEVCO and DG NEAR) with support from the Austrian MFA and Austrian Development Agency as well as the Italian MFA.

The main objective of the workshop is to increase the knowledge about Joint Programming based on practical experience in the region, through a process of peer learning, and focus on concrete implementation at the country level. As outcome concrete next steps will be determined for the country cases involved. The target group for the workshop are the Heads of Cooperation in the EU Delegations and the Member States’ embassies in partner countries where the Joint Programming process is under way or under preparation. In addition also Headquarters staff will be welcome.

In 2014 three workshops were held for the following regions: Latin America; Central, East and Southern Africa; and West Africa. These workshops were very successful with concrete outcomes including improved networks, solutions for the implementation challenges and next steps for each country case.
