Description
JOIN THE 2023 URBAN OCTOBER
As cities emerge at the frontline of climate change, urban residents offer unique perspectives on its impacts, making their participation vital in shaping adaptation. In this session, CitiesAdapt and BIOCITIS proudly offer young people from Mexico a stage to share their views and ideas on climate change and adaptation:
Listen to the winning team of the regional CitiesAdapt student competition present their idea on how to re-design a public space in Plan de Ayala Sur, Mérida and hear about the “Ecochavos”, a project aimed at young people between 13 and 18, who collaborate to conserve the natural resources of their territories, develop their capacities, and promote meaningful learning.
Join us to learn about best practices in youth-oriented participation measures and their perspective on local climate change impacts and urban adaptation ideas!
