Training on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in EU Development Cooperation (29-30 November 2012).

DEVCO D3 organised on 29-30 November 2012 the first (pilot) training course on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in development cooperation. The training was organised in collaboration with the International Disability and Development Consortium – a consortium of 25 NGOs seeking to promote disability inclusive development.

The objective of the training was to raise awareness and build the capacity of EU staff working in development cooperation to include persons with disabilities in their work

The course covered both the policy and legal framework and commitments (1st day) and practical guidance on ensuring that EU staff includes persons with disabilities in its day to day work (2nd day).
