Sustainable Energy Handbook

Given the growing role of the energy sector in the portfolio of projects managed by the European Commission, this handbook has been designed to provide useful information and to develop know-how and expertise among delegations and headquarter in the preparation and implementation of energy actions as well as policy reforms.

The Sustainable Energy Handbook 

  • Serves as a basic training material for personnel in Delegations and in DEVCO

  • Is a tool for decision making on various projects and thematic

  • Provides the trusted entry point to bigger wealth of knowledge and information

  • Gives quick answers and information before participation of Commission in meetings etc.

  • Gives some first useful figures for project cost, generation capacities, etc.

  • Contains elements of good policy but not become too instructive and dogmatic

  • Provides a valid and valuable source for links on each subject
