This group fosters knowledge-sharing, dialogue and collaboration on key environmental challenges, climate change, green economy and related topics such as biodiversity, forestry, desertification, disaster risk management, water and pollution.
As a global leader, the European Union continues to lead international efforts to address the climate and environmental crises. In close partnership with countries around the world, the EU supports the implementation of ambitious climate, environment and energy policies, and accompanies partners in their transition towards more sustainable, resilient and inclusive development pathways.
Through the Global Gateway, the EU mobilises investments for smart, clean and sustainable infrastructure, placing environmental integrity at the heart of its partnerships. This group supports those efforts by offering access to useful tools, guidelines and experiences to mainstream environment and climate change into international cooperation.
