SWM Webinar Series: Plastic Recycling [20240626]
INTRODUCTION
Waste management, particularly plastic waste, is a growing problem in low- and middle-income countries. By 2050, waste generation in these regions is expected to increase more than threefold. Currently, over half of this waste is openly dumped, burned, or discharged into water bodies and ecosystems, resulting in severe environmental, health, and economic impacts.
