Addis Ababa University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA, Association of American University Women (AAUW),
COADY International Institute, Canada, Universidade Federal Do Rio De Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, Habitat for Humanity USA, GTZ IS Addis
Ababa, Meskel Square- City Hall (MS-CH) Mega project Addis Ababa; I conducted research on various aspects of human settlement at both
national and regional scales. Have ample experience in addressing diverse issues such as urban water and mobility infrastructure; planning
for rapidly expanding/shrinking cities, urban poverty, slum upgrading, informal settlement; durable solutions for Internally Displaces
People(IDP); housing quality standards; urbanization through large urban projects: university develoment in Ethiopia; urbanization and
industrialization for sustainable economic and urban/city (re)development; the construction industry; role of Gender in Spatial Planning,
Equitable and Inclusive designs; healthy cities for a post COVID-19 era; drafted proposal for the Institutional organization/structure of MS-
CH mega project and; organized workshops, international cooperation with various countries, mobilizing donors, technical capacity building
for partners on: MSMEs, leadership, gender issues, city design/planning... with an aim to inform a range of urban spatial policies, laws,
regulations for better governance; pariticpated in drafting country programme agendas that facilitate pro-poor responses for a healthy and
equitably inclusive urban development.
