
Walaa Farid was born in Giza, She holds a BA in history and civilization from Cairo university.
works as a History Teacher in secondary school, also She is a Vice head of Cultural Exchange and International Cooperation at Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development, Egypt.
Walaa Farid works to enhance Egyptian-EuroMed cooperation through her responsibility of coordinating the Egyptian-EuroMed partnerships and Projects between Egypt and Erasmus+, and she is dedicated to creating more opportunities for the Egyptian Youth with less access to opportunities.
In addition, she is EU Jeel Connector in Egypt, and Graduated from "Be Ambassador" initiative - second edition for achieving the UN sustainable development goals, Ministry of Planning and
Economic Development.
Moreover, she got the Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange Dialogue program badge, as a participant in 2020. Participated in Erasmus+ training course in Jordan and Armenia, and cultural programs in the US Embassy and Institut Français d'Egypte in Cairo. And she has an online course with KAICIID about Using interreligious dialogue (IRD) to strengthen Peace, Reconciliation and Social Cohesion.
Walaa was a Team member in a regional projects which brought eighteen nationalities from the Mediterranean region in “Mediterranean Youth Academy- Second Edition” project, Alexandria, Egypt and “Mediterranean climate initiative” project, El Alamein, Egypt. “Dialogue on the Human Fraternity Document”, And a rapporteur in "No One Behind" project Third Edition, Dahab-South Sinai, Egypt.
