Business Country Desk - BCD

The Business Country Desk, BCD, is an initiative designed by BUSINESSMED and is one of the key instruments implemented in the framework of the EBSOMED project (an EU co-funded project), in accordance with its action line “MED Link - Linking economic actors in the Euro-Mediterranean region”. It:

• provides access to reliable data shaping the business climate (Trade / Investment) of Southern Mediterranean countries;
• promotes, fosters and supports synergies, and networking & B2B opportunities;
• connects economic operators in the Euro-Mediterranean region, and initiates and develops North-South and/or South-South business partnerships.

The BCD platform (www.bcdesk.eu) is available in English and French, and provides its users with three main services:

1. The Business HelpDesk: aims to support Mediterranean economic actors by providing them with regularly updated information related to the socio-economic & regulatory context of each target country, shaping its business climate.
2. The Partnerships section: consists of a multi-criteria search engine, and brings together, in the form of complete and detailed sheets, economic operators for the purpose of developing North-South and/or South-South business alliances.
3. The EuroMed Business Matching tool: an event-driven tool that manages business meetings. Its objective is to foster fruitful exchanges and contacts in order to create or strengthen business partnerships. It offers a series of functionalities to simplify the organisation and management of B2B meetings.
