IFM has been a core area of support for the FAO-EU Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Programme, offering a broad base of experience to draw from.  Analyzing the main lessons learned from a sample of projects across Africa, Latin America, and Asia, this brief aims to inform future project design and improve Independent Monitoring approaches in the forestry sector and beyond.
