Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Mesoamerica - EDEM (ADELANTE, phase I)
The "Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Mesoamerica" (EDEM) project, co-financed by the European Union through the ADELANTE Programme, aimed to support entrepreneurs in developing and strengthening their business ideas and to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their capacity for innovation. By facilitating the transfer of successful Colombian tools and methodologies to eight Mesoamerican countries, the initiative sought to foster economic growth, reduce inequalities, and eradicate poverty in the region. Through collaborative efforts among various chambers of commerce, governmental institutions, and regional organizations, the project emphasized knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the development of supportive entrepreneurial ecosystems.
