I am a Programme Officer to the EU Delegation in Benin in charge of Energy and Environment. I also have a strong interest for Rural Development and Infrastructures in general. I have been working for the European Commission since September 2005.

With more than 28 years of experience, she has worked extensively in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, focusing on sustainable development and international trade. Currently, Juliane supports smallholder farmers in meeting sustainability standards with innovative, technological solutions enabling them to access international compliance markets. Previously Ms Lemcke worked in strategic support and communications for the EU FLEGT Facility implementing key aspects of the international forest program FLEGT in EU partner countries. Earlier in her career, Ms Lemcke lived and worked in South Africa, where she led SGS’s timber legality and traceability program. She has in-depth knowledge of timber regulations, expertise in due diligence, forest and legality certification, and responsible trade practices. She fosters sustainable value chains, conducts trainings, and builds strategic partnerships, bridging stakeholder interests across government, industry, and NGOs. Ms Lemcke holds an MSc in Wood Science & Technology and has industry experience in international import and export. She is fluent in German, English and Spanish and can communicate in French in both, speaking and writing.

Giacomo Rambaldi is an independent consultant in the domains of digitalisation for agriculture participatory mapping and enterprise development. He has 41 years of professional experience in Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Pacific and the Caribbean where he worked for various international organizations including the Technical Centre for Agricultural & Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), FAO and as long-term consultant on projects funded by the Italian Aid to Development and the European Commission. He holds an honours degree in agricultural sciences from the State University of Milan, Italy.
He worked for 17 years at CTA as a member of the Digitalisation for Agriculture (D4Ag) team where he coordinated and administered a stream of activities related to the deployment of D4Ag in Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
